Dish Network vs Directv
DirecTV- its the only way you can get NFL Sunday Ticket
I suggest you compare channels offered. There may be a channel or two you really like that the other doesn't offer.
Both basic packages are essentially the same price, and I find that you get quite a few more channels in DirecTV's lineup. Furthermore, I think DirecTV's on-screen guide is, for lack of a better description, "cooler."
The equipment is also leased or rented from Dish Network, something I didn't like. I also found that the additional cost associated with a second receiver (necessary if you would like to watch different channels on two different tvs at the same time) was quite a lot higher with Dish Network.
Direct TV since it carries the UFC, Pride FC, and KOTC
In the endMy advice would be to look at the prices and packages offered by both and go with the one that offers you the most of what you want for the least money.
I have Direct - mainly because I am into sports, and DTV has much more options than Dish - including the NFL package. Its expensive, but if you love football, it is worth every cent.
I have Dish only because it offers an international package (albeit with an additional dish and $25/mo)
DIRECTV is #1 satellite tv service in the U.S. and is more popular nationwide than Dish Network with over 14.5 million satisfied customers compared to Dish Network with only 11.2M customers.
Programming Exclusivity
DIRECTV is dedicated to staying ahead of the game with exclusivity of the NFL Sunday Ticket and Mega March Madness. Dish Network doesn't have it and neither does anyone else. DIRECTV also has the SPORTS Pack, with over 25 specialty and regional sports networks. Follow the action of your favorite teams across the country from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS to all of your college teams to auto racing to fly-fishing. (Professional and collegiate sports subscriptions sold separately.)
DIRECTV's exclusive programming choices aren't just limited to just sports. DIRECTV now offers TV One, Fine Living, Fox Reality, PBS Kids plus DIRECTV FreeView channel (featuring exclusive concerts and events), all of which Dish Network does not carry. Overall, DIRECTV's delivers more than 225 channels of digital-quality programming to homes across the U.S
