There is nothing more beautiful than seeing hockey in full high definition. Once you watch a game in HD, SD becomes a thing of the past.
HOW MANY GAMES WILL I SEE IN HIGH DEFINITION?
When you sign up for NHL Center Ice you will get your fair share of HD games, but you need to be aware that not every game is available in full HD. There are many technical reasons why the broadcaster may choose to provide the feed in either HD or SD, this could be due to bandwidth or channel capacity. DIRECTV has no control, but the vast majority of the 40 games you can watch during the week will generally be in High Definition.
If you are looking for High Definition broadcasts of NHL Center Ice, HD games are represented by a “-1”. Games are broadcast on channels 769-785. So if the Rangers are playing the Bruins and the SD broadcast is on 770, then if the HD is available, you will see it on 770-1.
You also need to be aware that to be able to access DIRECTV HD programming, you are going to need HD equipment.
